In the last few years, Christmas jumpers have really taken off and I've seen some fab ones online that I thought I'd share with you. I love wearing mine on Christmas Eve going for a stroll around town doing some last minute shopping :)
So yesterday's post was all about gift ideas
for her for under €25 so for today I thought it'd only be fair to do the same
for him! Similarly to yesterday, I've put a collage of a few gift ideas that
are all under €25 so they'll be perfect for those on a budget.
You don't have to get him
this exact book obviously, but giving him a book or autobiography of his fav
sports players, interests etc. is a great gift idea. Eason's do great 3 for 2
offers so you could mix and match with various gifts for different
people.
T-shirts can be a great
present if that's what he wears. Kevin literally wears t-shirts every single
day for work and when we go out so these are always a great present for him as
he's always gonna need them. Jack & Jones do great styles for a great price
and I find the quality in them is really good and they wash well. Hollister
also do great quality t-shirts although they can be more on the expensive side.
Scarves can be a great
Christmas gift as the winter months are cold and he's gonna need to wrap up!
This charcoal coloured scarf is gorgeous and a perfect gift as the neutral
colour will go with anything he wears.
A DVD of his fav comedian
is a great gift. I got this one for Kevin a couple of Christmases ago as we had
seen the show and we loved watching it back on DVD. Michael McIntyre is defo
our fav comedian and this DVD was really nice to watch over Christmas together.
A gift set of his fav
deodorant is always a good idea as he's definitely gonna use it. Sam McCauley's
do fab gift sets with a wash bag, deodorant, shampoo and shower gel for really
good prices.
For my first Blogmas post, I'm going to talk about what gifts you can get those lovely females in your lives for under €25. I've put together a collage of some things I've found, a brief description on each of them, their price and the link to where you can get them.
1. Soap & Glory Soaprise - €23
A really cute Christmas gift from Soap & Glory. In this set you get 6 travel sized body washes that all smell amazing. They come really cutely packaged in little Christmas crackers, each containing a party crown and some Soap & Glory words of wisdom.
2. Soap & Glory Once Upon A Lime - €14.50
I love this set! You get 4 mini products that are all lime scented so will leave you feeling lovely and refreshed! In this you get a body wash, body scrub, body butter and hand cream and you also get a really cute loofah!
3. Sleek i-Divine Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette - €10.49
This palette is perfect if you don't want to spend a lot of money on make up or are unsure of what make up to buy. I love the colours in this and for the price, you can't go wrong!
4. Oversized Scarf - €23.53
I personally love scarves! This tartan oversized one is gorgeous and could definitely go down a treat this Christmas. If you're looking for cheaper alternatives, Penneys/Primark do gorgeous ones for only €9.
5. Adult Colouring Book - €14.99
This isn't for everyone, but colouring books are a great way to relax and de-stress. There are a wide variety of these colouring books available that have intricate detailed patterns for you to colour. Kevin got me one as a present a few months ago and I absolutely love it.
For the past two years (well half of last year :P), I've been doing Blogmas where I post every day in December until Christmas. This year, I'm hoping to actually stick to it and post every day and I've got lots of posts planned. From various gift guides to decorations, I'm going to talk you through all things Christmas this December! If you have any ideas for posts please let me know on my social media or through email.
Myself and Kevin will also be doing Vlogmas (vlogging every day until Christmas) so make sure you're subscribed to our YouTube channel so you don't miss out!
Hope you're all having a nice evening! Today's post is all about this super affordable peel off face mask from good ole Boots. I picked this up during the summer when it was only €3.99 and have been using it ever since.
I use this face mask after I've deep cleansed my face and want to give it a little more TLC! The mask comes in a squeezy type bottle and you just put some on your hand and apply it all over your face. The mask will start to dry and your face will start to feel a little tighter (which I love for some weird reason :P) and then you peel it off and give your face a rinse - simple! Avoid the eyebrows though - my clumsiness first led me to give my eyebrows a little trim when I mistakingly got some in them and had to peel off the hairs with the mask :P (Thank God for brow pencils!).
This mask is amazing especially given the price. It really left my skin feeling so soft and smooth and properly cleansed. I definitely recommend it!
I bought this setting spray when we were in Florida for two reasons; the first was because it was ridiculously cheap at around $3 and the second was I've been wanting to try out a setting spray for ages now and wasn't sure if they were worth the hype or money.
This little bottle is great! I don't really have oily skin and my foundation is quite matte but this setting spray is still great and still works for me. I use it when I need my make up to last longer than normal and I find it really makes it stay in place for a lot longer. I also find that it's really easy to touch up your make up later on throughout the day even though you've spritzed the setting spray on your face earlier on. It contains aloe, green tea and cucumber so it's super hydrating and refreshing. It dries really quickly and doesn't cause any make up (or more importantly mascara!) to run. I really recommend it!
I've been trying this Bioderma* micellar water for a couple of weeks now ever since my Garnier one ran out. My honest opinion? It's amazing! I much prefer it to the Garnier one as I find it's not breaking me out at all. It removes my make up a lot easier and more thoroughly which I love. It's a perfect make up remover for at night especially when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to deep cleanse my skin. It also works really well for taking off stubborn eye make up! It has purifying agents in it and is also alcohol and fragrance free making it perfect for sensitive skin.
The size I have is the perfect travel size and has lasted quite long. It retails at €5.50 for the travel size in Sam McCauley's but it also comes in a bigger 250ml size.
* Bioderma kindly sent me this product. All opinions are 100% honest and entirely my own.
I've been looking for this highlighter for a good few months now and it was constantly sold out in every Primark/Penneys I went to! I finally got my hands on it a few weeks ago and I have to say it was definitely worth the wait. At €2.50 I hadn't much hope for it but I must say I have been super impressed. The highlighter itself is a subtle shimmer shade that is perfect for a day time look. However, if you're looking for more of a glow for an evening look, it is buildable! I personally love it and it has become a staple piece in my make up bag for my every day look. I would definitely recommend it and for the price, how can you refuse?
I picked up this gorgeous plum lipstick while on holidays in Florida and I must say I absolutely love it. I think it's the perfect shade for A/W and I can't wait to wear it more often. The lipstick itself is super affordable (can be bought in Penneys) and the results are amazing! It lasts all day, managed to stick out a very chocolatey and creamy Starbucks Frappe in Florida and isn't too matte which for me is a huge bonus as I hate matte lipsticks! I absolutely love the colour and would totally recommend it if you're looking for a perfect plum shade for this season!
Let me know if you've tried any other shades in this range as I'd love to try out more!
So a couple of weeks ago I was invited to an Opera Lane event as part of Cork Fashion Week. It was a fab evening where I got to catch up with fellow Cork bloggers and see an amazing display of fashion from Opera Lane's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. The pieces that were shown were absolutely stunning and perfect for everyone's style - casual, comfortable and stylish! I for one will definitely be making a trip to Opera Lane soon as I definitely NEED some of those pieces! It was a great night and a fab way to end Cork Fashion Week 2015.

A few months ago, I received some Bioderma* products to try out. The one that caught my attention most was the Pore Refiner. I have quite large pores around my cheeks and nose and using this product has really helped reduce them in size and they definitely aren't as obvious as before. I've been using this very regularly, usually applying it around my T-zone before I put on my make up.
I can honestly say I have been SO impressed with this product. You only need a small amount and it has a matte finish so doesn't leave your skin feeling oily or shiny. It also acts as a great primer before applying your make up.
It has a really fresh scent which is great in the mornings as I feel it helps to wake up my very tired looking skin! It's really hydrating on the skin and my face felt so refreshed after applying it each time.
Overall, I found that this product really reduced the size of my pores and I was super impressed by it. My skin felt really refreshed and hydrated after I applied it. My skin wasn't greasy after applying it and it dried it very quickly. Overall I am really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it for those who have larger pores.
Bioderma Pore Refiner retails for approx. €18 and can be purchased from a range of pharmacies and online shops including Sam McCauley's and Cloud 10 Beauty.
* Bioderma kindly sent me these products. All opinions are entirely my own.
I'm just writing a very quick post to say I'm running a little competition over on my Facebook page. I recently reached 1000 likes on it so as a big thank you, I just wanted to give something back to you! All details are on my Facebook page so make sure to check that out! Thank you to everyone who has liked my page :)
I've been using this exfoliator on my face for a couple of months now and I thought I'd share my thoughts on it with you. I got it in Boots for less than €3 and I've really been loving it. It has a really refreshing scent (tea tree) and I find that the little micro beads in it really deep cleanse my pores. My face is left feeling really smooth afterwards and I really feel like it has thoroughly been cleansed.
First, I use a face cloth or muslin cloth to dampen my face, apply the exfoliator ensuring it's massaged into my pores and rinse off with warm water and a face cloth or muslin cloth. Simple! I also will only use this once a week as exfoliators can be quite harsh on the skin if they're used too often.
Overall, I really like this product and it's great if you're on a skincare budget!
