Mustard and Grey - The Perfect Autumn Combo?

Hey guys! I know it has literally been FOREVER!!!!! I've been so bad with blogging lately :( I kinda didn't know what to write about, lost motivation and we were obviously on holidays for most of a month so I've been deep in post holiday blues since :P Since we've come back I've been mad writing some posts so I'm definitely more motivated now but would love to hear suggestions for blog posts so please message me on any of my social media accounts if you have any ideas.

I'm also in the middle of writing a blog series on Orlando. As most of you probably know, we've been to Orlando on our holidays for the last 5 years. We get asked so many of the same questions that I thought I'd finally write a few posts that'll hopefully answer them. I'm almost done so I'll start posting them soon. Anyway moving on to this post...

Last week, my sister graduated from college. I didn't know what to wear and bought this dress (currently on sale) to wear around Christmas as I thought it'd be perfect for that time of year. I had bought another dress for her graduation and the morning of the graduation I changed my mind and went for this mustard one :P It's not normally a colour I'd go for but I have to say I love it. I did go down a size in it as it was quite a big fitting. I also picked up these grey shoes on sale the day before and had no intentions of wearing them with this dress. I didn't think they'd be a great colour combo but when I tried them on together I loved it. I also had a long grey coat over it too which matched the shoes.

Denim Days

Hey guys! For the first time in ages, I'm posting an outfit post! I picked up this gorgeous denim dress in the Zara sale a few weeks ago (unfortunately it's sold out now) and I absolutely love it. It is a little short but I love the long sleeves and ruffles - makes it a perfect Irish summer dress as it keeps you a little warm still :P I love how versatile it is! I've paired it with a pair of fresh white cons but you could also wear a gorgeous sandal with it and dress it up a bit. The bag I'm wearing is from Penneys a few years ago - it has gotten so much wear!

Cork Fashion Trail

Last weekend, I was amongst 20 VIP bloggers invited to the very first Cork Fashion Trail, organised by Marie Barry-Murphy.

We started off with a lovely breakfast in Starbucks on Opera Lane. Whilst there, Julie Evans and Natasha Crowley showcased some of the Spring/Summer trends coming into Opera Lane's high street stores. Expect florals, pinks and stripes! They had some fab displays and gave us great info on how to style certain prints and clothing pieces. Natasha also offers a free two hour personal styling service for both men and women. Natasha has some great knowledge on what clothing items suit certain people and I'd highly recommend making an appointment with her if you're looking for some style advice.

The first stop on the trail was Olori Boutique run by two gorgeous sisters, Sarah Jane and Lisa. They treated us to some gorgeous Bucks Fizz and chocolates and showed us some of their gorgeous pieces. They only stock a few pieces of each item so if you're looking for exclusivity then head straight to this boutique.

The next stop was to Miss Daisy Blue, a vintage shop in the English Market. They had some gorgeous vintage pieces of clothing and their interior decor really shone. How cool is this bicycle?

Saville's Menswear was next on the agenda. We were given a tour of the different suits, jumpers, chinos and shirts they have to offer and were informed of their made to measure service where they fit you for your suit. This sounds like a fab service as you can pick out your own material, colours, linings etc. so it's really personalised. They can also add personalised stitching inside which is fab to mark a special occasion like a wedding. Also, can you get over that these shoes are hand painted??? They are fab!

Next, we visited the Shoe Suite which is a family run business. We were given the most beautiful welcome and the shoes they have to offer are amazing. They have every type of shoe you're looking for and also cater for women's size 9 which isn't available in many shops.

Lunch time came and we were treated to a gorgeous spread in Duke's Cafe. The team in there couldn't have been nicer and the food was simply delicious. We were given our own area upstairs which was great to sit down and have a chat while sampling the gorgeous food they had to offer.

After lunch, we headed to Phoenix V where the girls treated us to some prosecco. The dresses Phoenix V has to offer are just out of this world. So much to choose from with lots of different styles and colours. The interiors stood out for me in this shop; I loved the hanging rails and the gorgeous floral display as you walk in the door.

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend and after visiting Swarovski, I can understand why. They had some gorgeous pieces and they kindly treated us to even more prosecco.

The final stop on the trail was The Athlete's Foot. This is a fab sports shop with a range of runners to die for!!!! All I know is I will definitely be back to buy about five pairs of runners :P

I headed home after this but some of the other bloggers headed to The Clayton for a wrap party where they were treated to some tasty food and cocktails. I love this photo that Eli in Photoland took - really shows what us bloggers are like!

This was a great day out and it was great to catch up with some bloggers I've already met and get to meet new bloggers. Marie did a fantastic job at organising this and I cannot thank her enough for inviting me. We all had a great day; it couldn't have went any better. A huge thank you to all the shops as well; we were treated to fabulous food, drinks, gifts and some very generous discounts. I can't wait till next year!

I also vlogged part of the trail which you can watch here.

Yellow Mellow

Hey guys! Happy Monday!

I haven't done an outfit post in a while so I figured since so many of you seemed to like last weekend's outfit, I'd do a post on that.

Mustard and yellow seem to be very popular colours this season. It's not the sort of colours I'd normally go for but it adds a very bright look to my predominantly black and grey wardrobe :P I have been absolutely living in this jumper recently. I've been wearing it with black skinnies mostly but decided to dress it up a little last weekend. It's a curved type jumper so it looks lovely on its own as it's shorter at the sides.

I absoulely love this grey suede dress as its so versatile. It's a perfect autumn/winter colour and can be dressed up or down - I can't wait to throw a polo neck on underneath it.

These boots speak for themselves. I adore the gold detailing on the heel and zip. They are so comfortable and so affordable. Black boots are a definite staple piece for winter.

The shirt, dress, jumper and boots are all Penneys. I got the shirt at the end of the summer but they have similar patterns in stock at the moment for only €9. The dress was reduced to €9 and is still in some shops. Both the jumper (€10) and boots (€21) are current stock.

Cold Shoulders, Chunky Heels, Summer Nights

Hey guys!

Cannot believe we're already in August!!!! Where has the year gone! August makes me happy though coz it means we only have 3 more weeks till we head to Florida ahhh! I'll be writing out a few blog posts in the next week or so to go up when I'm away so let me know if there's certain posts you wanna see :)

For today's post, I'm gonna talk about my outfit that I wore to Prodijig in Cork Opera House last weekend. I'm loving the cold shoulder trend at the moment and when I spotted this top in Penneys two weeks ago, I knew I had to have it! It's very Zara-esque! It was only €11 and they still have some in Patrick's St. My jeans are from Aeropostale about a year or two ago. They come to my ankle and are a really nice fit. My shoes are also Penneys but I got them a few months back. I absolutely love them but the top strap cut all my toes :( any advice on how I can prevent this next time would be greatly appreciated! I posted them on my Facebook page and it was quite a popular post which was good for me but not good for all the people that were hoping to be able to get them :P

We also logged this day so you can see more of my outfit here!

Nautical Stripes

Hey guys!

Today's post is an outfit post - something I haven't done in a while. A few of you that watch our YouTube channel have commented and snapchatted me looking for outfit details on what I'm wearing in the vlogs so I thought that I'd start posting them more often on my blog.

This outfit is kinda nautical inspired and something that's very easy to throw on and can be dressed up or dressed down by adding different accessories / shoes etc. The dress is super comfortable and fits quite well - I'm about 5 foot 3 so midi length dresses usually don't tend to suit me as they're too long but this one seems to fit ok.

Let me know if you want more outfit posts in the comments below :)

Everything shown below is from Penneys / Primark! The dress, shoes and necklace are current stock and the cardigan and bag were from last year.
