Blogmas Day 13: Estée Lauder Doublewear Foundation

I bought the Estée Lauder Doublewear foundation a few weeks back and I've been wearing it everyday since. I have completely fallen in love with this foundation and cannot imagine my life without it! I find the coverage relatively good but it's how long it lasts is what sells it for me. I'll put it on in the morning and set it with a powder and when I come home in the evenings it's still perfect without any touch ups during the day. It does set quite matte though so it may not be the best foundation if you have dry skin. I honestly could not recommend it enough. The consistency is fab but the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a pump but I think you can buy them separately anyway! My shade is 2W2 Rattan and I got it for €37 in Debenhams :)

Have you tried this foundation? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments!

Benefit's High Beam

I got this highlighter as part of a Christmas present from Kevin's mom about two years ago and to be honest I never really liked it that much until recently. In the summer months, I really like that bronzed and glowy highlighted look when applying my make up. I found this in my make up bag about 2 months ago and decided to give it a go and I haven't stopped using it since! It is AMAZING! I usually apply my foundation and concealer and then put a little bit of the high beam on the tops of my cheek bones, underneath my eyebrows, a little bit down the centre of my nose and lastly on my cupid's bow. I then let it set (I'd usually go fill in my brows or do my eye make up now) before putting on powder.

The product comes in a nail polish type bottle and applicator. It is very highlighted though so I only use the tiniest amount. You can add the tiniest amount to give a really subtle glow or you can add a bit more if you want a more dramatic look. It does tend to dry quickly so I don't tend to put it all on at once or it just stains my face and looks blotchy. I start off by putting it on one cheek bone and blending it in before moving on to the other areas I want to highlight. Because I only use such a small amount, I can definitely see it lasting for ages. This has definitely been my new summer must have!

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts on it? Leave me a comment telling me what your favourite highlighter is!

Rebecca Loves: Benefit World Famous Neutrals Palette

Ok let me just tell you this is the best eyeshadow palette ever! I probably even prefer it to the Urban Decay Naked palettes! I have the Most Glamorous Nudes Ever one. Kevin got me this for Christmas (picked it out himself...impressive huh?) and I knew straight away I was going to love it. I usually go for a nude/brown smokey eye and this palette is literally perfect for that. The 2 cream eyeshadows are gorgeous. I love the "Birthday Suit" shade as a base. It's a dark champagne colour with a hint of shimmer. I love it. The other cream shadow "My Two Cents" is more of a gold shimmery colour which is perfect for a night time look. I usually put them on after I apply an eyeshadow primer and they don't crease and the colour lasts all day. The powder eyeshadows are 4 gorgeous shades. There's "Call My Buff" which is a cream colour-perfect for highlighting the inner corners of the eye and the brow bone. Then there's "Kiss Me, I'm Tipsy" which is a dark brown colour. I use this for doing a smokey eye. I apply "Birthday Suit" all over the lid and then apply this colour in the crease for a smokey look. Next there's "It's Complicated" which is a lovely light pink colour. This is perfect all over the lid or in the inner corners of the eye as well. Finally, there's "Gilt-y Pleasure" which is a shimmery dark gold colour. Again, this would be perfect combined with the dark brown colour for a smokey look.

I personally love this palette. There's a few colours that will allow you go for different looks. It's a perfect palette that can be used for day or night time looks. It costs about €32 so it is quite expensive but I seriously love it! I found it on amazon for only €26! Bargain!

What do you think of it? Let me know!

Rebecca Loves: Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I used use this foundation all the time before but during the autumn and winter I wanted a foundation with a lighter coverage and consistency so swapped to the Rimmel True Match Perfection one. Lately, my skin has been breaking out and I found that foundation didn't really cover my spots so I switched to the 25 hour foundation. I've had it since the summer so the colour is darker than my skin at the moment so I've been mixing it with the lighter True Match shade.

I really like this foundation. The coverage is really good and it does last a long time though not 25 hours haha! The consistency is really nice too. It's thicker than the True Match but you get really good coverage from it and it leaves your skin really smooth looking. I really recommend it and will be purchasing a lighter colour for now so I can just use that instead of having to mix it. You can but it pretty cheap and it comes in a variety of shades!

Have you tried it? What do you think of it? Let me know!
