First Curly Blowdry

Hey guys! Long time no chat! Even though I've been active on my social media accounts, I haven't posted a blog post on here in ages! To be honest, I've just been kinda busy and found myself feeling very lazy in the evenings after coming home from work and just didn't feel up to writing blog posts. I'm hoping to start writing a few more draft posts to have ready for publishing for when I have those lazy days so I'll hopefully be posting more regularly again.

If you've been following my social media accounts, you'll have seen that a few weeks back I had my first ever curly blowdry at Impressions Hair Salon in Ballincollig. Joyann, the owner of the salon, did my first curly blowdry and I was so in love with the results. I always imagined having ringlets from a curly blowdry so when I saw the results I couldn't believe it! I loved the way my hair was straight with big curls at the end. She backcombed the top as well for extra volume too which I thought was fab. I've had really bad experiences with hairdressers in the past but I honestly could not recommend this salon enough. I loved it so much that I've been back several times and have even had a colour change too, which is something I was absolutely terrified of doing but I'm so happy I did it as I'm in love with the colour now (blog post coming soon on that!). If you're looking for a new salon to try out I honestly couldn't recommend them enough - the girls are amazing and so friendly!

Short Hair Don't Care

If you've been following my blog or any of my social media for a while, you'll know that I've always had really long hair. I've only ever had short hair (above my shoulder) when I was like 13 and it was horrendous! So bad that I decided to do it all again at 19 the day before my cousin's wedding - DISASTER! I know short hair doesn't really suit me but lately my long hair has just been so annoying and difficult to manage. It was dry and brittle at the ends and so long that it was constantly getting stuck in zips, handbags and car doors - how inconvenient!

I've been wanting to chop it off so much recently and last week, I finally went and did it. Well I didn't, my mom did :P now fear not, she used be a hairdresser so I was in capable hands! I got it cut to roughly just past my shoulders (a good bit shorter than where it was before below my ribs!) and I must say I am so happy with it. It's so much easier to manage and it feels way healthier. I'm so glad I cut it and am now contemplating going even shorter (Kevin will definitely start panicking when he reads this part due to my previous hair traumas haha!).

Here's a very quick before and after that I posted on my Snapchat (rfairydustblog). Let me know what you think!

Valentine's Day Hair, Make Up and Outfit Ideas

So as Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought I'd put together a quick post on some ideas for hair, make up and outfits. I've done similar posts before where I did separate posts on hairstylesmake up and outfits but this year I thought I'd make it easier for people and combine everything into one post. Hope you like it - let me know your favs in the comments! Enjoy your Valentine's Day :)

Summer Hairstyles

I did a similar post on summer hairstyles last year and because you loved it so much I thought I'd do another post this summer. I love the whole beachy waves, messy/boho type hairstyles for summer and I think they look so cute and can be easily accessorised with a hat or headband. Here are my current favs!

Let me know what hairstyles you're after this summer!

Floral Headbands

Ok I am absolutely loving this whole floral headband craze. I love the whole festival look and I really like the boho vibe these floral headbands give. I recently bought a pink one in New Look for about €5/€6 and I cannot wait to wear it on holidays. I think it'd be perfect with a maxi dress or a cute pair of shorts. Here are a few ones that I love.

Do you like this trend? Who have you gotten your inspo from? Where did you purchase them? I'd love to know!
