Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Hey Everyone!

For today's post I thought I'd review the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. I'v been using this all summer and I find it SO good. It smells amazing (like lemon and lime) and has tiny micro beads that I find great for exfoliating. It was perfect for when I was on holidays to help prevent peeling and I think it'd be a good pre tan exfoliator too. The tub itself is pretty big. I've used it non stop all summer and I still have over half left. I picked it up for about €11 in boots. I love the scent and consistency and it leaves your skin so smooth and refreshed. It also leaves the bathroom smelling amazing afterwards! A must have in my opinion!

Have you tried this product? What other soap and glory products would you recommend? Let me know!

So seeing as we're stepping into Autumn, I thought I'd do a post with some outfit inspiration for this season. I love this season as it's not too cold but it's cool enough to start adding layers. I recently wore my new grey Uggs which made me extremely excited for these cooler months as I absolutely love my Uggs! Anyway I hope you enjoy these outfits, let me know what you think :)

L'Oreal Casting Sunkiss Jelly

I've been leaving my natural hair colour come through as I'm sick of constantly dying my hair and it getting really dry as a result. I haven't coloured my hair in about 9 months (which is absolutely crazy for me!!!!!) and over the summer I got a bit fed up of it. From constantly washing it and the sun naturally lightening it, my hair turned a not so nice brassy/orangey colour which I absolutely hated. I contemplated getting a few highlights thrown in on the ends of my hair as a very subtle balayage look but then decided not to in case it went more orange.

Randomly online one night, I spotted this L'Oreal Sunkiss Jelly and figured I had to try it out. It's basically an amazing scented shampoo like gel that lightens your hair in a natural looking way. It can be applied to both wet and dry hair and doesn't need to be washed out. It is activated by heat so using a hairdryer is what activates the colour faster. This is a gradual hair lightener so you may not see any difference after the first time you use it.

I used the product all over the ends of my hair completely avoiding my roots. I used this maybe 3 or 4 times between June and August and once again last week and I am finally starting to see a difference. I definitely think the sun on holidays helped lighten it even more. It does specify to use it on natural hair and obviously I didn't. It did take a while to notice the colour change but I can definitely see the change now.

I will definitely be buying another tube to lighten the ends of my hair even more and I definitely recommend using it if you want a naturally highlighted looking colour. It smells amazing and costs about €8 in Sam McCauley's which seems to be the cheapest around. I also got the darkest shade in 01.

Have you tired this? Let me know what you thought of it!

Benefit's High Beam

I got this highlighter as part of a Christmas present from Kevin's mom about two years ago and to be honest I never really liked it that much until recently. In the summer months, I really like that bronzed and glowy highlighted look when applying my make up. I found this in my make up bag about 2 months ago and decided to give it a go and I haven't stopped using it since! It is AMAZING! I usually apply my foundation and concealer and then put a little bit of the high beam on the tops of my cheek bones, underneath my eyebrows, a little bit down the centre of my nose and lastly on my cupid's bow. I then let it set (I'd usually go fill in my brows or do my eye make up now) before putting on powder.

The product comes in a nail polish type bottle and applicator. It is very highlighted though so I only use the tiniest amount. You can add the tiniest amount to give a really subtle glow or you can add a bit more if you want a more dramatic look. It does tend to dry quickly so I don't tend to put it all on at once or it just stains my face and looks blotchy. I start off by putting it on one cheek bone and blending it in before moving on to the other areas I want to highlight. Because I only use such a small amount, I can definitely see it lasting for ages. This has definitely been my new summer must have!

Have you tried this? What are your thoughts on it? Leave me a comment telling me what your favourite highlighter is!
